Baharak is a corporate lawyer who specialises in helping companies secure the funding they need to grow. She particularly enjoys working with early-stage startups who are transforming the worlds of life sciences and health tech.
Before joining SeedLegals, she was at Taylor Wessing, advising all kinds of businesses (especially those in tech and life sciences), founders and investors on a wide range of corporate matters with a particular focus on VC funding rounds.
Baharak has guided clients through the lifecycle of funding rounds and corporate transactions. Since joining SeedLegals, she has advised companies on funding rounds and took Definely’s major funding round to the next level with a cross-border strategic investment from Raine Ventures (via a secondary purchase) following the Series A round.
She brings her wealth of knowledge across the full funding spectrum, from pre-seed to Series B+, to our VC Advisory team to help close rounds.
Here are a few of Baharak’s favourite moments of her career so far:
- Acting for Definely on the strategic investment from Raine Ventures, the venture arm of US investment firm, The Raine Group
- Advising online fraud prevention startup SEON on their $94 million Series B round
- Acting sell-side on the £90 million share sale of a technology company
- Advising a venture capital fund on its £2 million investment into a software company raising £15.5 million at Series A, as well as its subsequent £2 million secondary share purchase
- Advising a climate technology company on its £4 million bridge funding round using convertible loan notes
