Lawrence won’t chat about the wider world – it’s built to understand your SeedLegals documents and give you answers in context.

✅ Secure by design
Lawrence is powered by Gemini, a third-party Large Language Model (LLM), but the model doesn’t store your information or use it for training. Data is only held briefly while your prompt is processed, then forgotten. Gemini may temporarily hold questions/responses for compliance checks.

✅ Opt-in only
Lawrence only accesses your documents when you open the chatbot and ask a question. No data is passed to Gemini before that point.

✅ No training on your data
Nothing you upload or ask is ever used to train or fine-tune the model. Lawrence’s answers are for your eyes only. During beta, our team may review chats to improve the feature.

✅ Fast, not flawless
Lawrence is in beta and, like any AI, it isn’t 100% accurate – sometimes it can make mistakes or ‘hallucinate’. Think of it as a guide to help you move faster, not as a source of truth. Always check your documents and seek qualified advice if you are unsure.

✅ Snapshot of your data
Right now, Lawrence uses a snapshot of your SeedLegals documents – so if you’ve added files recently, they may not yet be included. We’re working on expanding how Lawrence takes in new documents, so this will improve as the feature develops.
