We’ve made option grants faster and easier to run on SeedLegals.
You can now grant options to one person or multiple people in a single, clean flow. Set shared terms once, tailor where needed and send agreements without repeating work.
It means less admin today – and a structure that scales as your team grows.
Option grants now run through the same group-based flow, whether you’re granting options to a single hire or rolling them out to several people at once.
Start by clicking Grant options and Create new group.
Single grants use the same structure as larger grant rounds, keeping everything consistent from day one.
After selecting who you’re granting options to, you’ll land on the group’s default terms. This is where you set the shared details for the grant, including:
Any terms you set here apply across the whole group by default, making it much quicker to create multiple grants with the same core details.
You can also rename the group (for example, EMI Scheme – Jan 2026), review the shared terms, or update them later if needed. Clear group names make it far easier to understand your option history as you grow and run multiple grant rounds.
Instead of scrolling through individual grants, you can quickly see which grants relate to a specific hiring phase, funding milestone, or annual cycle – making reviews, due diligence and adviser conversations much simpler.

Shared terms don’t mean every grant has to be identical.
You can still make changes at an individual level – for example, adjusting the number of options for a particular person – without affecting the rest of the group. There’s no need to create separate groups just to handle small differences, so things keep moving quickly.

From the group overview, you can also take bulk actions – like sharing or signing all agreements at once.
SeedLegals generates the option agreements and tracks progress for you, so you can see who’s signed and what’s still outstanding without managing everything manually.
This helps speed up the process when you’re granting options to multiple people at the same time.
This group-based approach works just as well for your first option grant as it does for repeated grant cycles in a larger company.
