Anna is a qualified lawyer and a Senior Legal Associate here at SeedLegals. She has years of experience as a commercial and corporate lawyer in private practice, working with many startups and SMEs in Bristol and the South West.
Frustrated with the outdated ways of many law firms, Anna made the move from law firm to legal tech in July 2021 and hasn’t looked back since. Anna is now able to share her expertise at scale by helping build our legal products and resources, as well as provide hands-on support for customers signing up for a General Counsel as a Service (GCaaS) subscription.
Outside of work, you can find Anna training and playing with her Labrador puppy, Harvey, browsing the many independent shops and restaurants in Bristol, or curled up with a good book.
Experience
Anna has worked with a varied client base, but she has a particular focus on SaaS, e-commerce, online services and online platforms. She has gained a broad range of experience in commercial and corporate work with a strong focus on advising startups, including:
- Advised a subscription box startup with various commercial and corporate matters, including multiple investment rounds (from Seed round to pre-Series A bridging round), set up of an employee option scheme, and commercial contract reviews from supply chain agreements to consultancy contracts.
- Advised a HR Tech company with various matters, including negotiating bespoke SaaS terms with key clients including Indeed, Hays and Coca-Cola.
- Advised a MarTech startup with various matters including investor agreements, SaaS terms, lead generation services agreement, and channel partner agreements.
