Since we launched SeedLegals Pitch in November 2021, thousands of founders have created a Pitch page. With your feedback, we’ve made Pitch even better.
Here’s what in this post:
You can now change your fundraising status to show if you’re fundraising – and if so, how.
Previously, you could only add details of a funding round to your Pitch. If your company wasn’t raising, you had to set your Pitch to private (or delete it).
We’ve now updated Pitch so that if you’re fundraising, you’ll be able to specify how. For example, if you’re in England, you’ll be able to select SeedFAST, funding round or Instant Investment. If you’re doing both SeedFAST and a funding round, you can select both.
If your company isn’t currently fundraising, investors who view your page can still register to say they’re interested in your future raises.
With so many features now packed into Pitch, we’ve decided it’s time to start charging for full access. From 3 August 2022, you’ll need to subscribe to SeedLegals to use some Pitch features.
It’s still be free to create and share a Pitch page. To see who’s viewed your page, store confidential information in the Data Room and use the Investor Tracker, you’ll need to subscribe to SeedLegals Standard or Plus.
Prepare for due diligence checks and keep control of your sensitive business data by uploading documents to your secure Data Room.
Your Pitch viewers must request access from you to view the Data Room.
Your investor is ready to invest? Great! Our May update to Pitch means you won’t need to input their details again to add them to one of our investment services.
You can now add investors directly from Pitch to:
If you’re adding an investor to your Seed Round, you must have already opened the round on SeedLegals.
Find the person or company in your Investor Interest table, click the icon for Create investment (see screenshot) and follow the prompts.
When you’ve added the investor to the investment, they’ll move out of the Investor Interest table and into the Added to Raise table.
If you add an investor directly to an investment service on SeedLegals, they won’t be shown on your Investor Tracker. (That’s because the Tracker is designed to show who’s interested in your Pitch.)
If you remove the investor from the investment, the investor will move back into the Investor Interest table in your Investor Tracker. To remove that investor entirely, you’ll need to delete them from the Investor Tracker.
From April 2022, you can monitor visits to your Pitch page as well as who’s clicked to register their interest.
Log into SeedLegals and click Pitch in the left-hand menu. Then select Activity tab (see screenshot) to see who’s viewed your Pitch and on what date.
In March 2022, we added a section where you can list your team members. In edit mode, scroll down to The Team and click Add:
Your team members won’t get a notification that they’ve been added to your Pitch page. You control the team member’s information until that person logs into SeedLegals to claim their account.
Don’t have a team or you just want to list the founders? That’s fine, your Pitch page won’t show the team section if you don’t add any team members.
Coming soon: We’ll redesign the cards for founders and team members so they fit neatly on your Pitch page.
Match your branding and make your Pitch page more engaging with a banner image.
You could choose a graphic, a photo or something else – as long as it’s a .jpg at least 1000px wide.
Don’t want viewers to download your deck? No problem, we’ve added a toggle so you can set the download function to on or off. The default setting is on so if you’d like to change this, hop into your Pitch page now.
No more squinting at the screen – all your viewers can now expand the pitch deck to view it at a larger size. Remember, even if you’ve disabled deck download, viewers could still screenshot your slides.
You might want to keep your video set to ‘Unlisted’ on Vimeo so it doesn’t appear in web searches. But what if you want to post that video on your Pitch page? We’ve made it possible. Here’s how:
That’s it! Anyone viewing your Pitch page will be able to view your video – whether its privacy setting in Vimeo is Public or Unlisted.
You don’t need to do anything – all these features are ready to use, next time you log in.
Our team are constantly working on more improvements. We’ll update you here on this page and by email.
