Anthony is our CEO and Co-Founder. He’s a serial entrepreneur: he’s built and sold several startups over a career that includes 3D graphics, P2P music, internet video, social TV and online communities.
We’re sure you’ll know and use the BBC iPlayer – Anthony is the man behind it: from 2007 to 2010, he launched and ran the project and other digital services for the BBC, adjusting his team so they worked like a startup to turn the iPlayer into one of the broadcaster’s biggest successes.
The idea for SeedLegals struck when Anthony met serial angel and VC investor Laurent Laffy at a party in Rome. They’d both had enough of paying insane prices for the same legal documents at every funding round, and rounds taking months to complete. They decided it was time to build the solution.
Fast forward a few years and SeedLegals is now the largest closer of funding rounds in the UK, currently enabling over 1,000 rounds a year. Anthony uses his insider knowledge and experience to invent and build more services to save founders time and money as they grow their business.
Anthony is a natural mentor – he loves to help founders work with investors. That’s why you’ll find him taking part in webinars, writing for specialist and national media, and posting on our website and LinkedIn.
When Anthony isn’t immersed in running SeedLegals, he’ll be outside literally running. Not just for fitness and headspace but to get to meetings, to deliver kit to his team and for any other reason where he needs to get from A to B. Don’t bother suggesting he gets a bicycle. And if you need to bribe him, try green jasmine tea.
