Matt Terry is our Customer Experience (CX) Team Manager. He joined SeedLegals back in 2019 when the CX Team was just starting out. Before moving into a management role, Matt led the S/EIS Team and worked in other areas of the business such as looking after Funding rounds and supporting on our customisable employment contracts.

Early on in his law degree, Matt knew that a traditional corporate legal career wasn’t for him. Since then he’s volunteered for various legal education programmes in South Africa, taught English in Taiwan, worked as a paralegal in London and even worked on a case at the International Court of Justice.

Matt has since discovered that his skills and experience make him a natural fit at SeedLegals and he enjoys being part of the startup ecosystem in London. He loves getting into the nuts-and-bolts of the Government’s Enterprise Investment Schemes (SEIS and EIS) and other legal matters, in particular to help founders get the right legals in place to successfully build the companies of tomorrow.

As CX Team Manager, Matt, spends most of his time working on strategy and building processes to successfully scale and drive the team. He’s also responsible for hiring more brilliant people to help serve our customers. When he isn’t working, you’re most likely to find Matt caring for his vast collection of houseplants, raising his endorphins in a HIIT class or spending time exploring London and the surrounding counties.
